Platinum Silicone

Like all GIR products, our breathable face shields are made with medical-grade, FDA and LFGB approved silicone. It’s platinum-cured, BPA and BPS free, and just about the best thing since sliced bread. It’s also insanely versatile and easy to clean.
How to clean your mask:
Hand wash: Scrub with hot soapy water for 20 seconds.
Antibac wipe: A quick swipe-down and you’re good to go.
Dishwasher: Wash on medium heat with mild detergent.
Microwave: Microwave for 90 seconds in a bowl of water.
Oven: Place the mask in an oven-safe dish. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes.
Here’s some other cool stuff about GIR’s platinum silicone: it creates no chemical byproducts during the manufacturing or curing process. Sometimes we like to make it glow in the dark. It’s independently lab tested for purity. It can stretch to many times its length and bounce right back. It’s biocompatible. It’s heat safe from -40°F to 550°F. And it’s super safe for babies (try using a frozen GIR mini spatula as a teething toy!).
